ASTM A179 G-Type aluminum 1010 finned tube is a high-efficiency heat exchange element. Its base tube is made of ASTM A179 standard seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel tube (carbon content ≤0.06%, density about 7.85 g/cm³), which is designed for low to medium temperature (usually below 400°C) heat exchange environment and is suitable for boilers, condensers and other equipment.
 
The outer surface of the tube is composited with aluminum 1010 spiral fins (purity ≥99.9%, density 2.70 g/cm³) through high-frequency welding or hydraulic expansion process. The high thermal conductivity of aluminum (237 W/m·K) and the expanded surface area of ​​the fins are used to significantly improve the heat transfer efficiency. It is commonly used in air coolers and waste heat recovery systems in petrochemical, power plants and other fields.
 
Its lightweight structure (difference in density between steel and aluminum) takes into account both strength and heat dissipation requirements, but attention should be paid to the thermal stress that may be caused by the difference in thermal expansion coefficient of steel and aluminum (steel 12×10⁻⁶/°C, aluminum 23×10⁻⁶/°C), as well as the risk of galvanic corrosion of steel and aluminum in humid environments. It is usually necessary to use a galvanized layer or insulating gasket for protection to ensure long-term stable operation.
